Face Value

The Dunedin Fine Art Center presents Face Value, a juried exhibition examining the power, complexity, and symbolism of the human face. From classical portraiture to bold abstraction, social commentary to deeply personal expressions, the works on view reveal the many ways artists use the face to communicate identity, emotion, and meaning—both literal and metaphorical.

Guest judged by Amanda Cooper, Chief Curator of Exhibitions at the Morean Art Center, the exhibition brings together a compelling selection of artworks recognized for their technical strength, conceptual depth, and visual impact. Together, these pieces invite viewers to look closely and consider what lies beneath the surface—how faces reflect who we are, how we are seen, and the stories we carry.
